Covid-19: Festival Postponement

Published on 14 December 2020

Updated on the 14 December 2020:

Due to the ongoing situation with the Coronavirus, we have decided that going ahead with the Wales International Piano Festival on the new dates next May is not going to be feasible due to the continuation of restrictions and the uncertainty relating to travel, quarantine and social distancing within auditoriums.

The good news is that we have been able to secure new dates at the venue for next Autumn: October 15th – 18th 2021.

We intend to keep to the same programme, concerts, competitions and activities as far as possible but are aware that some restrictions may remain in place, and so we may need to change the program in some way. We are pleased that we can still proceed with the Festival in these very challenging circumstances for the arts sector.

All competitors already registered will be admitted to the Festival in October 2021. If you are unable to attend in October 2021, we kindly ask you to let us know before 13th January 2021 so that we can refund your registration fee. No refund will be possible after this date.

If you have bought tickets for any of the Festival Concert please contact Galeri directly for a refund. We will be announcing the Autumn 2021 Festival Concert line-up in due course.
